A must read for EVERYONE who has experienced loss of some kind.  It may be loss from death, a divorce or relationship break-up, loss of trust, loss of a job, home, family condition or being single. 

Grief happens when a pattern of doing or interacting with another person or situation in a familiar way is changed or broken. Therefore, we experience loss and grief in many different ways throughout our lifetime. Each circumstance can leave us feeling empty, disappointed or in down-right pain, even when what’s ahead of us may be exciting like starting a new job or having a baby. No matter what the feeling, when loss happens, it is an emotional experience that requires ‘working through’ it.  What most of us do is bury, stuff or denies the feeling, believing that over time or with busyness we will ‘heal’ it and certainly overcome the grief.

The reality is, to stuff grief or think it will magically disappear over time is not the truth.  You may not feel it as intensely as before, over time, but the energy still lurk around within and at the most inopportune moment, WHAM, it pops us sabotaging the current circumstance.
