A divine design is at work in your life. How do I know? Because, you are a divine spiritual being who before you were born into this life, collaborated with Divine Source to receive the lessons of the soul you are here to experience. So I’m sure you’re asking three questions by now. The first one being, “If I helped co-design the life I’m experiencing now was I drunk during the process?” And the second and third questions being, “If this is the reality of a decision I made, what happened to free will and choice? What happened to…I attract my experiences based on what I believe and what I feel?” These are natural questions which I will attempt to answer, although they may spurn more questions which, when delving into the essence of your spiritual self, is essential and excellent to do.
THE PROCESS OF DIVINE DESIGN
You can think of Divine Design the same way you design or create anything in life, as an image or visualization of something you desire. In the case of Divine Design the desire is the visualization of how specific soul lessons will be learned. For example: if the learning lesson is unconditional love the Divine Design mapped out by you could be to experience abuse as a way to learn how to love yourself and others. It may be the experience of going through abusive challenges which builds compassion for others who suffer in a similar way. From compassion grows understanding for the person who was abused and the abuser. From understanding comes wisdom and from wisdom love begins to form until it turns into unconditional love for all involved. That unconditional love for others becomes unconditional love for self and then expands out toward the entire world and all who inhabit the Earth.
Now, I know you’re thinking, “I could never visualize being abused – in spirit form [before taking a physical body] or any other form.” But the truth is, you chose to be born into the family you have and if your parents or someone within the family circle is an abuser you were aware of it and chose it anyway as a path to learn unconditional love. Once in a physical body though, the spirit’s desire is unconscious allowing for your conscious awareness, which is formed by many other factors, to take place. Of course, that’s why one of your first questions is probably, “Was I drunk when designing this?”
THERE IS FREE WILL AND CHOICE
So it may seem as if your free will is taken away, at least from a very conscious point of view, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The learning lessons, because there is more than one, is something that you desire for purposes of ascending as a spiritual being. The way in which you design to learn the lessons is based on the family you’re born into, the country / community you design to live in and from there an overall mapping of smaller lessons you will learn in order to master the overall larger desire. However, once you are in a physical body infused with the belief systems of your family and environment; the feelings you learn to have in response to certain stimuli; the emotions you experience in response to innate primordial signals programmed into the body’s DNA; and interpreting all of these various aspects to continue soul learning lessons in the physical body, you make choices moment-by-moment equaling free will. The spirit, You, is able to make choices based on the catalysts of these various circumstances.
CHANGE HOW TO LEARN YOUR LESSON
Even though you chose, in the beginning, certain elements in which to be born into with a basic road map of how you will learn specific lessons, you can also choose to direct your life along a different course engaged in experiences that offer an opportunity for more pleasant ways of learning soul lessons. Sometimes it is the actual encounter of the more challenging situations which act as spring boards to your deciding, “I don’t have to learn and master what I desire this way. I can do it differently!”
Take for example Eleanor Roosevelt. One of her soul lessons was unity; connection to Divine Source, self and all of mankind. Although born into a wealthy family Eleanor’s father was an alcoholic and separated from the family, living in France. Her mother was a self-absorbed woman who only appreciated beautiful people. She herself admired how beautiful she was which created only greater disappointment for her in how Eleanor looked. Eleanor’s mother had little tolerance for her daughter’s “plain looks” and therefore had little attention or affection for her. But Eleanor’s mom suffered with headaches and when Eleanor would rub her mother’s head to help ease the pain, she felt her mother loved her when she served her needs. It was a decision at an age less than ten Eleanor made about how to be loved. This is where she changed the way she would learn her lesson of unity. When she served others she felt loved and therefore connected with them.
As her life progressed, due to particular circumstances including the death of both parents before she was ten (transitional circumstances that are also part of the Divine Design most of the time), Eleanor chose to attract experiences that set her on the course of freely learning and then carrying out great service to the world. Serving others provided a way for her to maintain a harmonious pulse with the beat of everyday ordinary people living their daily lives. In doing so, she established and mastered the lesson of unity through unconditional love. Nevertheless, there is one final note here; Eleanor choosing to be born into a very wealthy family had the privileges of societal living providing opportunities to travel the world unconcerned about the requirements of making a certain income to live. This offered her the ability to be in the position of serving others on a very grand scale.
A DIVINE DESIGN IS AT WORK IN YOUR LIFE
Regardless of how you collaborated with Divine Source to create the Divine Design of your life you do have the choice to make changes once you are on Earth in a physical body. Just never mistake the fact, though, that whatever you are here to gain, learn, and master on a soul level it will dictate, out of the thousands of choices you can make in every moment, what will help most in accomplishing your spirit desire. This is why, ultimately, no matter what path you choose it all leads to the same destination; even if it means only mastering one lesson while some of the others go by the wayside. And, without a doubt, the other lessons you may not receive now, you will collaborate on in creating a Divine Design that will be learned on the next go round.
