MentalBoost Your Memory

The soul is fed when the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies are healthy. To keep your mind active in a positive way the brain must remain healthy. Boosting your memory is a great way to do it.  Here’s an exercise that can help you maintain a healthy brain.

Do Math Equations In Your Head:  Without the use of pencil, paper or computer figure out math problems with your mind.  Start off with simple problems but as they become easier to solve figure out more difficult problems.  If you really want to exercise your brain; try doing the math equations while walking or doodling.

Emotional & Spiritual Exercise  – Keeping a Daily Journal

Writing in a daily journal is a wonderful way to express what you’re feeling and enhance the more spiritual part of you within.  To connect more deeply with your real self here are a few tips.

Use a Blank Page Journal Book – do not use the computer, an artist’s sketch book is a great one to use instead. By using this type of book as a journal your mind is not restricted by lines or the need to write in precise ways.  You are able to free flow more easily.

Write Different Categories – the categories help you organize your feelings and thoughts about what happened during the day.  Some of the categories may include:

  • Emotions – what significant feelings did you have and what was going on when you felt them.
  • Questions – what questions came up, about anything. Asking questions help expand your awareness.
  • Realizations – what did you realize during the day about yourself or anything in general; what were you doing when you had the realization? What was the Ah-Ha moment you experienced?
  • Need to do something about it – whatever happened during the day, are you compelled to do something about it? Are you immobilized? Why?
  • Miracles and Gratitude – what miraculous thing(s) happened during the day? What five things are you grateful for?
