When I think about Go With the Flow for Miracles I’m reminded of the movie, Wizard of Oz. Isn’t that a beautiful picture? The yellow brick road is leading the way to the Emerald City, the destination where miracles happen. I chose this picture because of the song, “Ease on Down the Road” sung in the movie “The Wiz”. “The Wiz” is an adaptation from “The Wizard of Oz” starring Dianna Ross and Michael Jackson, who sung the song. I find the song is such a great analogy of letting go and let flow. But then again, the entire story is a spiritual tale that depicts an unfolding journey of diverse characters, representing energies to pay attention to when considering how to reach that place where miracles grow and flow. Here’s a character overview of what I mean:
Dorothy represents the individual where the ego is stuck in past fear and current worries about circumstances beyond her control. The Scarecrow represents the mental ego consciousness wanting a brain to think with. Remember, though, to want anything is to be in resistance to it because you believe you don’t have it and to receive you must already believe you have received. The Tin Man represents the emotional ego consciousness wanting a heart in order to love. The Lion represents physical ego consciousness wanting courage to take faithful action but is too afraid to do so. The Wicked Witch represents outside energies of community, society, and authoritative influences that continue to bombard all the senses and pound their brand of what’s true to keep one’s real essence oppressed. Glenda, the good witch, represents the higher self guiding each step along the path toward the Emerald City. And, the Emerald City is heaven, where the Wizard resides. He represents Divine Source guiding the direction required to receive miracles.
The full story as it comes together teaches that what Dorothy, The Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion are desiring are the very attributes they already posses. Spirit, the divine essence of each character, knows where home is (the real you) and how to get there; has the awareness of universal knowledge; loves unconditionally in the way only a supreme being does and always takes faithful action, stepping up to face what’s before him. However, in order to experience the reality of spirit, Divine Source sent them away to conquer outside influences where the ego takes hold and continues to lie to maintain it’s own survival. The ego tells lies about the evils to fear, undesired challenges to struggle through and hardships that overcome you. But, once these energies are conquered, as demonstrated by killing the wicked witch, it’s easier to connect with Divine Source again with renewed energy, where past fears and current worries are no longer present. That’s the moment when the realization of who you are is illuminated. Then, the miracles which are sought after seem to appear as a gift, from Divine Source, with ease for being in the flow; the flow of real spirit which is neutral, all knowing and ever encompassing love.
To go with the flow means to release past fears and present worries that are triggered by outside influences, stirring up internal feelings from false believe systems. Therefore, the moral of the story is when you allow your higher self to guide you through the terrain of false living by outside influences and when releasing those energies that encumber you, who you really are is what allows you to connect with Divine Source where miracles effortlessly, abundantly flow.
