The Higgs boson, also nicknamed, the ‘God Particle’ was given credit to two theoretical physicists; Peter W. Higgs of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and Francois Englert of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. It took a generation of searching to discover a “telltale particle” known as the Higgs boson. During that time many physicists took part in the experimentation of what Higgs originally brought to light in 1964 as the last piece to the Standard Model.
The Standard Model is basically a set of equations that dictates the universe is filled with energy; much like “cosmic molasses” giving all particles that move through it mass or form which attracts more, yet different, particle energy. If this model had not been expanded by what Higgs discovered there would be no concept of atoms or what makes up human beings. The Higgs perspective was an affirmation of the cosmos being governed by laws. As physicists explored these laws, one of the core concepts of quantum physics, that helped them move closer to understanding how energy works, is symmetry. Symmetry, discovered in a physical way, is the same no matter how it is positioned or turned, such as a wand or leaf that looks the same in any position. Taking it further, in math and science it is an object that doesn’t change even though the system is changed; such as a sword that is waved in the air or used to thrust through something. (The way in which it is handled is a system change.) These concepts of symmetry are important to understand as far as the ‘God Particle’ because it is part of the foundation of what many physicists built their theories upon; all becoming pieces of the puzzle.
Chen Ning Yang and Robert Mills at the Brookhaven National Laboratory concluded that everything in life/nature worked to keep symmetry such as the electric charge in electromagnetism or the energy momentum of gravity. It was also determined around the same time, that radioactive decay from weak nuclear force and atomic nuclei held together by strong force are bundles of energy forces called bosons. This of course is all based on quantum physic rules where the smaller the boson the longer it’s able to reach and vice-versa. So, the rule is: “The mass of a boson is related to the range of the force.” An example of that would be taking a large ball and throwing it. It wouldn’t go as far as a baseball which is much smaller. Now, continued study by Sheldon Glashow of Boston University theorized that the nuclear part of an “electroweak” force had no mass, such as light (aka photons) that can be disbursed over the entire universe. However, an important question came up: “How did the carriers of the weak force become so massive while their brother the photons remained free and easy?” Well, another physicist, Yoichiro Nambu of the University of Chicago concluded it was not the laws of physics but how the laws show up in real life. He considered the possibilities of “symmetry breaking” where what is balanced in nature can become unbalanced. It took the culmination of every physicist and laboratory working on the Higgs boson hypothesis to prove that Drs. Higgs and Englert’s theory about the ‘God Particle’ is true.
What is so evidently clear, however, is that spirituality has known this, without proof, for thousands of years. We know everything is energy, no matter what it is! When considering the ‘Aura’ we know it is an electormagnetic energy field. We know that chakras are energy vortexes operating as part of our human space; we know we are more than physical matter. We also know that Universal Laws such as the Law of Attraction, Law of Vibration, Law of Frequency, Law of Intention, Law of Belief, Law of Reciprocity (Cause and Effect) and so on are all governed by energetic systems that support our physical world and universe.
So, I ask you, is the God Particle Science or Spirituality? Are spirituality and science one in the same? Does science validate spirituality or vice-versa? Is the ‘God Particle’ or God Consciousness, which is a majority collective of all like energy forms operating in this experience, really spiritual or merely science? It’s up to you to come up with your own answers. As for me, I see no difference between the two from the perspective of what it is…not right, not wrong, not good, not bad but simply being.
